Imagine
Imagine a world that is better.
A world where you as a consumer, community, employee, manager, owner, CEO participate meaningfully in the decisions that affect you – personal decisions, services decisions, business decisions. A world beyond listening, feedback, consultation or marketing. A world where you positively influence and are positively influenced by the system around you. Where businesses improve because of you and you improve because of them.
A world that is in sync, producing only what is required and producing it better. A world that as a consumer you are empowered and as a business you are necessary, adaptive and proactive.
Welcome to Leanne Griffin Engagement. This is the world that I choose to help create. Where businesses to do more than just endure and survive –they transform. Transformation is both internal and external. Responsible and innovative businesses, groups, communities… industries transform internally – adapting to their environment and changing to create better outputs – and externally – impacting on the environment around them to produce better outcomes.
The key is engagement.
Involving people in the change process so that value is intrinsic, equal and shared throughout the chain. Positive change, occurs when a system is connected and decisions are made in the best interests of all that are impacted. Too much focus on one area (profitability, market share, environment etc.) leads the system to become disconnected. Decisions involve sacrifice, narrowed scope, short term focus and ultimately become less effective and less successful.
I believe in the enduring power of positive change understanding that this can only occur when people are an active, valued and equal part of the process. Throughout this blog I intend to share advice on how businesses and consumers can improve their outcomes, taking responsibility for their decisions and together designing a better world. I would love to hear your ideas, thoughts and suggestions, creating a collective space for people and business to engage with.
What is your key to a more sustainable world?
